What do we do?
Outreach:
Many of the homeless on the island's beaches in small tent communities. We go out to them, share a hot meal, and establish relationships with them. We help them obtain food, clothing, blankets, and tents. After we get to know them better, we assist them with other needs such as acquiring ID cards, bus passes, and with transportation to appointments. During certain holidays, we assemble and distribute care packages.
Rehabilitation:
For individuals who want to make a change in their lives, we first refer them to existing clean and sober houses and homeless shelters, and pay their initial monthly rent if necessary. We also help them to acquire affordable housing, employment, and desired education.
Transitional housing:
We recently opened Hanalei House, a transitional recovery house in Waianae for homeless men who have either completed a drug rehab program or have been carefully screened as viable candidates for transition. Along with housing, we provide life skills, education, and vocational training as well as spiritual guidance.
How can you help?
Donations:
We are in need of monetary donations to pay for the day-to-day operations of our programs. CCM is a nonprofit organization that relies on grants and donations to keep afloat. All donations will go toward helping people in transition.
Our immediate need is items necessary to help the people on the beaches. There is a constant need for nonperishable food, clothes, blankets, tents, tarps, and other necessities. We're also in need of food, household items, appliances, and personal hygiene items to keep our transitional programs going.
CCM also accepts new or used vehicles in any condition. All gifts are tax-deductible.
For any other donations and questions, please contact us.

Resources & Partnerships:
CCM needs people and organizations to contribute their resources and expertise in order to accomplish its mission. Therefore, we welcome partnerships and collaboration with businesses and the community, faith-based and non-faith-based. To get involved, please contact us.
One of our most important supporters is the Hawaii Lodging & Tourism Association run by former Honolulu mayor Mufi Hannemann. We have participated in their annual Charity Walk event for five years in a row, acquiring many donations from our faithful donors. We have also been awarded a number of local grants which help to keep us going. We couldn't be more grateful for these generous individuals.
